The Icelandic trio Ex.Girls follows up last year’s album VERK with the first of two thrilling remix EPs, SKEMMDAVERK. This initial release showcases an eclectic mix of Icelandic talents who are redefining the Icelandic soundscape with their unique interpretations. Atli Finns, from Sideproject, offers a lush jungle mix brimming with everything you desire from a jungle mix. In3dee takes it further into the avant-garde with a three-dimensional hardcore softcore choke techno mix that bends auditory perceptions. Kraftgalli transports you to the countryside in Iceland, making you feel like you are on a farm in Húsavík on a lot of Adderall, calm, but intense. Finally, we have Lafontain and his epic ecstasy take on the track "Halda Áfram," making it one of the most astonishing remixes in Icelandic history. A crowd favorite at the Icelandic rave Buxur 2022, ensuring this EP is an essential listen for those who crave music that both challenges and delights.
